"Jean is a gem...  an experienced teacher that inspires others to be their best." Loren Crawford, The Power of Yoga Program, E-RYT 500  Jean Mazzei, (E-RYT 500), has logged over 15,000 teaching hours. Often called “a teacher’s teacher,” she is an expert in the subtleties of yoga sadahana (practices), and bringing the practices to life off the mat.

Jean believes that everyone is inherently resplendent, and that yoga practice is about uncovering the dust that sits on our light. Her sense of humor and commitment to non-judgment provide a safe place for students to explore, break boundaries, and release layers of physical, emotional, and psychic weight. Her classes draw from many styles and include physical and subtle body alignment, vinyasa krama, pranayama (breath work), visualization (kriya), and deep listening.

Jean's quest for healing herself and finding the truth within has guided her education. Aside from having over 45 years of dedicated personal practice, her studies include 8 years with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen in BodyMind Centering, 30 years with master healer and metaphysician Dennis Adams, yoga with Dr. Albert Franklin (TKS Desikachar lineage), BKS Iyengar, Rod Stryker, Ana Forrest, and Dharma Mittra (level 1-2 certified). She is a certified Level II ParaYoga instructor and is currently studying the ancient Tantric teachings of the Sri Vidya lineage with Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.
Being of the school of “Whatever Works,” she believes that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to yoga.      She is the visionary behind Sri Yoga Retreats and Teacher Trainings, as well as the Love Lab, a study series on Unconditional Love. She offers 200/500 Hr Yoga Alliance Certification programs, retreats, and workshops in the USA and abroad.

Embodied tantric flow

Unconditional love, space, non-judgment & humor

What inspired you to teach yoga?

To help others learn to love and accept themselves no matter what. It's been my journey, and the payoff has been resplendent!

Who are your most influential teachers?

Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Dennis Adams & Pandit Rajmani Tigunait.

How would you describe your style?

Intentional transformational tantric flow. Each class incorporates elements and techniques to create and support transformation right now!

Why do you feel retreats are transformational?

It gives people a chance to "stop their momentum" and do life differently. This "unplugging" gives people a better chance at changing old patterns, as well as giving them some space from the hamster wheel of their minds and life.

What is your favorite pose to teach?

What is your favorite pose to practice?

Where are your favorite places to travel?

Carribean, Anything beach, Yosemite, Mexico, Europe, and so many places I haven't been that I long to visit!
