FAQ

What inspired you to teach yoga?

Yoga changed my life. My physical body, my energy/breath body, my mind. It is so powerful in so many ways, I was inspired to learn about it and know it deeply first. Then, diving into the deep knowledge, being so inspired by it and what it could do, drew me to share it with others, in sangha, in community.

Who are your most influential teachers?

Jeanmarie Paolillo, my first and only lol, Nikki Vilella, Miles Borrero.

How would you describe your style?

I strive to see every single human who is in my class. I strive to teach directly and specifically to each of my students. We are all unique, and we all need different things. My class, I hope, can feel like it reaches in detail each and every person who is practicing in it. At the same time, my classes are like little journeys. There is an essence of flow, a beginning, a middle, an end, and a personal transformation throughout and in between. Not unlike the students, each class of mine is unique, so never expect to walk in and do the same thing we did in the class prior. Expect to learn, to be surprised, to move your body, sharpen your breath, and raise awareness in your mind. In their essence, my classes are a celebration of a special connection of all that is you, guided by yoga philosophy and its deep ancient wisdom. A prayer, a dance, a connection of all your layers, into the brilliant creature that you are. Oh yes, and of course, always expect to LAUGH.

Why do you feel retreats are transformational?

Retreats are so special. We all come together, in community, to share unique moments, to learn new things, to move, to dance, to laugh, and just... be. We each join a unique experience in a special destination, to work on and connect to our own souls, dance through our own journeys in our own time and ways. And while these inner journeys take place, we enjoy local culture, we explore, we experience, and we have each other for it all. We are stronger together; we learn and get inspired from each other. Retreats create families. Families of like-minded people, light-hearted, illuminated people. People who are open to learn, to share, to try. Each retreat is special, and is journey is unique.

What is your favorite pose to teach?

These days, some self-massage techniques are my favorite! There is no pose name, you will have to join me and see!

What is your favorite pose to practice?

Pigeon and pigeon variations. I can never get enough... The stretch in the glutes is so yummy and, I guess, so often needed!

What are your favorite places to travel?

Anywhere my husband comes with me, lol. Guatemala, to the amazing Lake Atitlan, where I have been leading retreats since 2015, and Antigua, the gorgeous town where we met. The Azores islands in Portugal, where I am so excited to lead two retreats this fall (2025). Well, then there is India, which left quite a mark on me. That is why we (International Yoga and I) are going back in 2026!!
