Jenn’s health journey began in 1993, during a time when she was deeply immersed in studying anatomy, kinesiology, and massage therapy. Teaching yoga felt like a natural extension of everything she was living, feeling that strong, grounded connection to her center. Over the years, Jenn has studied with many gifted teachers across a variety of traditions. She finds a strong connection to the flowing rhythm of Vinyasa Yoga, linking movement with breath. She teaches a strong, deep, challenging flow style class, combining movement with breath, while cultivating balance, radiant well being, and presence of mind.

Alongside her role as co-owner and director of Yoga On Center, Jenn leads retreats around the world and works one on one with clients as a Certified Health Coach.

FAQ

What inspired you to teach yoga?

After years of being in the fitness industry, I discovered yoga and found that it was the perfect balance of what I was looking for. You could get the strengthening, while stretching, while calming the nervous system, leaving you feeling strong but at the same time balanced, calm and more present. I started to see the benefits of my yoga practice off the mat as well, in my daily living, how I spoke, reacted and moved about my day. I truly feel practicing yoga helps you get more in touch with your true self and access inner peace. Once I discovered this it was a natural progression for me (from teaching in the fitness world) to teach yoga and share this with others.

Who are your most influential teachers?

Mark Stephens, Ann Austin

How would you describe your classes?

My classes are an inspiring blend of fun flow rooted in traditional alignment, allowing students to find space to explore their power, delight their spirit, move with their breath, and go deeper into their true self. My classes can be strong, deep, challenging flow style class, or a slower more restorative type class, depending on what the group needs. I will always combine movement with breath, while cultivating balance, radiant well being, and presence of mind.

Why do you feel retreats are transformational?

I think of my retreats as a reset. Time to take a break from your daily living and routines, take care of your body, have meaningful connection with others, take time for yourself, time to laugh, read, cry, talk, sit in silence, take excursions and see something new. It is YOUR retreat, I always remind students of that, do what they need, sleep more, rest more, move more, whatever you need. A pause, a reset as we then go back to our daily life.
