Terry grew up on the South Side of Chicago and has lived in the city his entire life. After earning an engineering degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago, he enjoyed a long career in management consulting. A few years after marrying Beth, the two decided they had accomplished all they wanted in the corporate world and began considering opening a yoga studio. Both were “hooked on yoga” and believed they could offer something different to Chicago’s emerging yoga community.
After completing yoga teacher training, they opened Om on the Range in 2002—and it was an instant hit. They discovered there were many people just like them: people balancing careers, families, injuries, curiosity, and a willingness to explore new ways of being with it all. More than two decades and a pandemic later, Terry and Beth are still teaching, practicing, and learning yoga.
