Michelle Cordero, E-RYT500, MFA, RPYT, began teaching yoga and movement in the Bay Area in 2002. She built her career on her integrity and passion for teaching skillfully and mindfully, and was voted "Best Yoga Teacher of the East Bay 2018" by Oakland Magazine. She has traveled extensively to lead retreats, workshops, and teacher trainings both in the US and internationally. Michelle is currently Head Trainer for Breathe For Change, and she is the Professor of Yoga, SEL, and Mindfulness in their Master’s Degree program in Education. Michelle has experience in many different styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Yin. She holds a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Embodied Social Justice. A wellness coach and craniosacral practitioner, Michelle aims to lead authentically with a sense of humor, curiosity, and compassion. What inspired you to teach yoga?

I love to help others build a lifelong practice that is life-changing and life-saving.

How would you describe your classes?

My Deep Flow classes combine vinyasa flow, alignment, core strength and breath awareness to help students of all levels develop greater strength, flexibility and inner awareness.

Why do you feel retreats are transformational?

Retreats give students an opportunity to go deeper into their yoga practice, and they also offer an understanding of the greater world in which we live. A true-time to unplug and soak in self-care.
