Mindful, inclusive, safe and challenging
Nature, Poetry, Friends, Laughter, Chocolate & Dogs
This retreat is designed to balance yoga, cultural discovery, and unhurried time to recharge. Days will include movement, breathwork, guided relaxation, and opportunities to connect, alongside thoughtfully planned experiences that invite you into the heart of Umbria through regional food and wine, beautiful surroundings, and the relaxed pace of countryside life. Rather than a fast-moving itinerary, the journey unfolds at an intentional rhythm, with meaningful cultural experiences complementing the restorative nature of the retreat.
Michelle’s deep flow classes blend vinyasa, alignment, core strength, and breath awareness to help students build strength, flexibility, and a deeper connection to body and breath. Her teaching is inclusive, gender-affirming, and trauma-informed, with each class thoughtfully adapted to support students of all experience levels, ages, genders, and body types.
Locanda Del Gallo is a beautiful boutique hotel surrounded by nature, with just 10 artfully designed rooms and suites, each with comfortable beds and a private bathroom. The furnishings have been thoughtfully collected by owners Paola and Irish during their travels around the world, giving each space a distinctive character.
Relax among the green hills and private gardens, or unwind at the onsite wellness center, saltwater pool, and jacuzzi spa. Throughout the week, a private chef will prepare healthy, organic cuisine paired with local wines. The hotel is also ideally located within easy reach of Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi, and Cortona, with Siena, Florence, and Rome accessible for further exploration.
Visa requirements for Italy vary by nationality. Many travelers may enter Italy for up to 90 days for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance, while others are required to apply for one before travel. We recommend checking the entry requirements for your specific passport nationality well in advance of your departure. Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure from the Schengen Area and have been issued within the past 10 years.
You will book your international ticket into and out of Fiumicino international airport in Rome (airport code: FCO).

Additionally, one group departure transfer will be provided from the retreat center back to the airport in Rome on the last day of the retreat around 10:00 am. Exact details will be provided after registration.
We love solo-travelers and we have hundreds join us every year on retreat! If you prefer to share your room and are traveling alone, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If we are not able to find you a roommate for the room category you initially booked, we may need to move you to an alternate rooming type. In some cases, a discounted single supplement fee may need to be applied to your invoice. We will communicate this directly to you via email prior to your departure.
Gratuities are not included in the price of your trip. Gratuities are shared by staff, housekeeping or other employees helping you throughout the week then an additional tip is always appreciated. We suggest a budget of around $10/day per guest.
Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average.

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to protect yourself and your investment. Unexpected events—such as personal emergencies, political or environmental factors, health issues, or weather-related disruptions—can arise and may prevent or interrupt your travel plans. Note that because we must strictly adhere to our cancellation policy, you will be responsible for 100% of any costs associated with the cancellation or interruption of your retreat should you choose not to purchase travel insurance.
While we do not provide recommendations for specific policies, we suggest exploring options through the reputable travel insurance aggregator, InsureMyTrip. They can help you find a provider and policy that best suits your needs. For maximum coverage, we advise purchasing travel insurance within 7–10 days of placing your initial deposit.
A $1000 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your space on the retreat, with the final balance due by May 4, 2027. If you cancel before the final balance deadline, we will refund all payments received, less the non-refundable deposit. Any outstanding balance will be automatically charged to the payment method on file on the due date, unless otherwise arranged with International Yoga. Registrations received after the final balance deadline require payment in full at the time of registration. As outlined in our Terms & Conditions, all final balance payments are non-refundable and non-transferable after the final balance deadline. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. If you are unable to participate in this program, you must advise International Yoga in writing to: [email protected].
