Yoga has provided me with a sense of balanced discipline and guided me towards a healthier lifestyle. In fact, I would say that it has completely re-imagined and shaped my life. It is the one activity where I can focus on my breath, find stillness, and gain clarity. My consistent pursuit of the practice throughout my life has helped me reconnect with the world from a more centered and authentic place. Becoming a teacher was my way of sharing the countless gifts that yoga has brought into my life.
I have been fortunate to study under numerous knowledgeable and inspired yoga teachers. The teaching methodology of Yogaworks has had a positive impact on my teaching style which is reflected in every single class I offer. Annie Carpenter, in particular, continues to be one of my most influential teachers to this day.
My approach to teaching yoga is holistic and focuses on simplicity, beginning with the breath. As a yoga teacher, I see my role as helping people awaken and refocus their attention. I teach intuitively and intelligently, providing a sense of safety and support that allows my students to explore and learn more about themselves on the mat. I believe that this exploration can have a lasting and impactful influence on their lives, leading to transformation on all levels. I firmly believe in the power of yoga to awaken us to what is real and to our true selves. In each of my classes, my goal is to create a space where my students can reconnect with themselves and the authentic light that shines from within them.
Yoga retreats offer a dedicated and immersive environment for students to deepen their yoga practice, experience personal revelations, and regain peace of mind. Retreats often take place in serene and natural settings, away from distractions, allowing individuals to disconnect from their routines and responsibilities. With daily yoga sessions, meditation, and wellness activities that promote self-reflection and personal growth, participants can focus more deeply on self-care and self-discovery. Additionally, yoga retreats provide an opportunity to explore new practices, connect with like-minded individuals, and embark on a journey of health, self-care, and self-realization, stepping out of one's day-to-day life— creating memories that can last a lifetime!
