My Profile & Retreats

What airport do I fly into?

Your international flight should be booked round trip to Puerto Vallarta (airport code: PVR)

Are there Spa services available at Haramara?

Haramara offers 60- and 80-minute massage sessions with different techniques like shiatsu, deep tissue, acupressure, thai, and Reiki; special body treatments using salt and oil, mud, or chocolate; and facials, manicures, and pedicures. Prices for services range from $25 to $100.  Note: prices are subject to change.

Are airport transfers included in the price of my trip?

No, airport transfers are not included in your trip. Once you have provided us with your flight information, we will organize your airport transfer for you. The total cost of the transfer from the airport to/from Haramara is $65 to $100, based on the number of passengers in the van. Your driver will collect the fee in US dollars. We will advise on the exact cost of your transfer pertaining to total passengers 1 to 2 weeks before departure.

What is the weather like in Sayulita?

The weather is expected to be warm and humid, with highs ranging in the upper to mid 80s during the day.

What are the accommodations like?

Wake up each morning in your own secluded jungle cabana with ocean views. These individual rooms have their own private bathrooms with a shower, a flush toilet, and hot and cold water. Sleep in comfortable handwoven sheets and enjoy the gentle breezes from the Pacific Ocean. Each cabana is open-air style to allow for maximum relaxation. Some cabanas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon siestas. Enjoy, this slice of paradise is yours for the week!

Is there electricity?

There is no electricity in the cabanas. They are illuminated at night with oil lamps and candles. You will be unable to use any small electrical appliances like hair dryers, curling irons, or razors. There are no fans or air conditioning in the cabanas. If you want to read at night, you will need to bring a book light with you. There is no outdoor lighting so you will need to carry a flashlight or use a headlamp at night. There is, however, electricity in the yoga pavilion and the restaurant for recharging batteries. It is the same voltage as the United States, so no converter is needed.

What if I am traveling alone?

If you prefer to share your room, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If we are not able to find you a roommate, a single supplement will apply.

If you prefer to have your own room, the cost of a single supplement is $800 for the week.

Can we drink the water?

The water from the faucets is safe for showering and other necessities, but is not safe to drink. There is clean, fresh, purified water provided in each cabana for drinking, brushing your teeth, and cleaning your contacts and contact lens cases. There is bottled water available in the restaurant each day. The ice used in the restaurant is also made from clean, fresh, purified water.

What is the cuisine like?

Delicious and healthy gourmet meals are made from only the freshest natural and local ingredients. The menu is chosen daily by the chef based on the ingredients that are available. The always-changing daily menu includes seafood or vegetarian dishes. Special dietary restrictions or requirements can be accommodated. Please be sure to note these in your registration form.

Coffee and fresh-squeezed juice is offered in the mornings. Tea, purified water, and fresh fruit water are available all day. Beer, wine, and margaritas are available for purchase in the afternoons and at dinner.

Are phones/internet/fax available at Haramara?

There are no phones, internet, or fax at Haramara Retreat. If you would like to use the phone, internet, or fax, you will need to go into the town of Sayulita. We will provide you with ermergency contact information before departure.

Are gratuities included?

Tips for the kitchen, dining, and housekeeping staff are not included in your trip price. We suggest that you budget $15 U.S. per-day per-person or $100 U.S. per-week per-person. This will be shared amongst all the service staff and can be left with the manager at the end of your stay. Gratuities for the spa staff need to be paid directly at the time of service. All gratuities should be paid in cash.

What do I pack?

Pack light; one bag is great!

  • Cash and credit card to pay for transportation shuttles, staff gratuities, on-site purchases, and off-site excursions
  • Flashlight or headlamp and extra batteries for walking at night

  • Book light and extra batteries for evening reading

M. Lusse, Mexico

Haramara is love in action, love made visible.

B. Feld, Mexico

What could be said about staying in the jungle with the birds singing and the ocean crashing and the tropical breeze flying through? Luscious.

B. Feld, Mexico

This trip was well organized, easy, lovely, and just perfect. International Yoga was helpful with the details, and everything worked just right.

G. Rios, Mexico

Very helpful and supportive company. Michelle and Stephanie followed through on everything they promised. High-quality accomodations, staff, yoga teachers were exceptional, met amazing and wonderful people. This was one of the best trips I have ever taken! It was a spiritual connection with everyone, and I had so much fun. This company is legit! Thanks, and I would do it again. Keep up the great work!

D. Kelley, Mexico

Haramara is an amazing, magical spot. It is such a peaceful, powerful place. I loved everything from the cabanas to the yoga shalas to the very limited electricity. I can't wait to go back to this beautiful enclave.

L. Kelley, Mexico

I would highly recommend the Haramara retreat and would love to go back next year! It was a truly life-changing experience.
