Deep Renewal in Paradise

Deep Renewal in Paradise

Throughout our week together we will explore the space between stimulus and response, where you can leave behind your habitual solutions and cultivate a living relationship with the present moment. As you learn to relax into this space—the pause—and see life and yourself more clearly, you can flow forward with more presence and wholeheartedness. You will return home feeling calmer and connected to yourself and the world around you.

In this retreat, Jillian Pransky artfully weaves together mindfulness with slow-flow vinyasa, restorative yoga, deep relaxation, meditation, and time in Costa Rica's stunning nature. Her emphasis is on internal observation, rhythmic breathing, and fully supported rest. From this place of centered awareness, your daily life becomes a direct reflection of your deepest insight, compassion, and skillfulness.

FAQ

What is the cancellation policy for this trip?

For bookings made prior to March 1, 2020: Your final balance payment was collected on January 17, 2020 and no further payments are due. As outlined in our Terms & Conditions these payments are final, non-refundable and non-transferable.

For bookings made after March 1, 2020: A $500 non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to secure your participation in this retreat. The final balance payment is due by January 7, 2022 and we will send you an invoice and a link to complete payment approximately one week in advance of the deadline. If you do not complete payment by the due date, the card on file will be automatically charged unless you advise us in advance of that date in writing that you are canceling. As provided in our Terms & Conditions all payments are final and non-refundable/non-transferable after January 7, 2022.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. As all payments to International Yoga are non-refundable, the purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental, health or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels.  Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, note that you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption.

There are a broad variety of policies and providers for you to choose from. Be sure to understand the fine print of the policy you select to ensure you know exactly what is and isn’t covered — especially if you are concerned you may need to cancel for COVID-19 / pandemic-related reasons which most carriers would cover only under a "Cancel for Any Reason" tier of coverage. IMPORTANT: in order to guarantee maximum coverage, most travel insurance providers require that you obtain a policy within 5-10 days of placing your initial deposit. Although International Yoga cannot advise on specific policies or providers, you may find this guide helpful.

What airport do I fly into?

You will book your international flights into and out of Liberia International airport (Code: LIR). It takes approximately two hours to get from the airport to Blue Spirit.

Are there group airfares?

No, there are no group airfares, as we will have people joining us from all over the US, with some arriving early, some arriving late, some using miles, etc. We are happy to provide guidance and review any itineraries you find. Please contact us before purchasing flights, and as always, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Are airport transfers included in the price of my trip?

No, airport transfers are not included in the price of your trip. However, we will collect your arrival and departure information and coordinate transportation on your behalf. We will advise on exact costs as we get closer to departure.

What if I am traveling alone?

We get hundreds of travelers each year who go on retreat alone. If you are traveling without a friend or partner, but prefer to share your room, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If for some reason, we are not able to match you with a roommate, a single supplement will apply.

If you prefer to have your own private room, a single supplement will apply.

Do I need a Visa for travel to Costa Rica?

No, US citizens do not require a visa to travel to Costa Rica. Citizen of the US, Canada, and Panama may enter Costa Rica with a passport that remains valid at least 6 months after your travel date.

What is the cuisine like at the retreat center?

Your stay at the retreat center includes three delicious, consciously prepared, vegetarian meals each day. Fresh, locally caught fish will also be served a few times during the week. The daily lunch and dinner buffet includes a Pure Food Option, which offers greens, grains, and legumes without oils or seasonings. This retreat center purchases food from local farmers and organic produce when available.

Do I need vaccinations to travel to Costa Rica?

There are no required vaccinations for travel to Costa Rica. However, there are some recommended vaccinations given by the CDC. To see the complete list of what is recommended, please visit the CDC Website and consult with your primary care physician to make a decision on what is best for you.
