Seven Days. Seven Years. Seven Retreats: The Art of Returning.

There is something sacred about returning.

For seven years, I have been coming back to Xinalani, this extraordinary sanctuary tucked between the jungle and the ocean in Mexico. Each visit has met me at a different moment in my life, and each time, it has offered exactly what I didn’t know I needed. This upcoming retreat will be my seventh trip, and that feels meaningful in a way that’s hard to put into words.

Xinalani is not just a destination, it is an experience. A place where the natural beauty is breathtaking, the food is vibrant and nourishing, and the people, both those who hold the space and those who gather there, are truly special. It is a place that invites transformation, connection, and a deep exhale. There are also beautiful hikes on and around the property, so there is always something to explore, whether you are craving quiet time or a bit of adventure.

February 20 to 27, 2027. Seven days, held within the energy of the number seven once again. There is something undeniably aligned about it. How lucky are we?

This retreat is an invitation to return, not just to a place, but to yourself.

Repetition lives everywhere in nature. In the steady rhythm of the waves meeting the shore. In the rings of a tree, marking time. In the way the sun rises and sets, again and again, without fail. In the cycles of the moon, the tides, the breath in and the breath out. Nothing in nature rushes past repetition, it moves through it, and because of that, it deepens.

Returning is not going backward. It is how we grow.

Our yoga practice will meet you exactly where you are. All levels are welcome. Whether you are brand new or have been practicing for years, this is a space to explore, soften, and reconnect. There is no expectation, only invitation.

This is not a women only retreat. Xinalani is one of the most beautiful places I know to share with someone you love. Partners, friends, spouses, this is a rare opportunity to step away from the noise of daily life and into something meaningful, together.

If you have been wondering where to go in the heart of winter, this might be it.

Seven days. A return.

FAQ

Is this more of a yoga retreat or an adventure trip?

This experience is a very traditional yoga retreat—a chance to truly unplug, slow down, and immerse yourself in the rhythm of practice and rest. We’ll spend the entire week at Xinalani, a secluded eco-luxury retreat, where the focus is on daily yoga, nourishing meals, ocean breezes, and time to simply be.

While there are wonderful optional activities available—like jungle hikes, spa treatments, and visits to the nearby fishing village of Quimixto—this retreat is designed first and foremost as a space for renewal, reflection, and connection. Think sunrise yoga, barefoot beach walks, hammock naps, and the soothing sounds of the Pacific guiding you into deep relaxation.

What's included/not included?

Included: 7 nights eco-luxury accommodation at Xinalani, all fresh healthy meals, group airport and boat transfers on designated days, daily yoga practices with Jenny, and VAT taxes.

Not included: International airfare, spa treatments, optional activities and excursions, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, and gratuities.

What are the accommodations like?

Xinalani offers beautifully designed, eco-chic accommodations that blend comfort with nature. Each open-air palapa is thoughtfully built with sustainable materials and perched along the hillside, inviting the ocean breeze and the sounds of the jungle in. Rooms feature comfortable beds with mosquito netting, private or shared bathrooms, and spacious balconies or terraces with stunning views of the sea or lush greenery.

What airport do I fly into?

Fly into Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

How do I get to the retreat center?

After landing, you’ll take a short taxi ride (arranged by Xinalani) to Puerto Mágico Marina, where you’ll board a boat to the retreat. The scenic ride takes about 45 minutes and brings you directly to Xinalani’s secluded beach.

Are airport and boat transfers included?

Yes—group airport and boat transfers are included on the retreat arrival and departure days.

What kind of food is served and are meals included?

All meals are included. Enjoy fresh, healthy Mexican cuisine—a delicious blend of local flavors and nourishing ingredients. Meals are served buffet-style, featuring plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and other dietary needs.

Are there spa services available?

Yes—Xinalani’s jungle spa offers massages and holistic treatments on-site.. Treatments can be booked in advance or upon arrival.

What additional activities are offered?

You can book optional experiences such as whale watching (seasonal), dolphin encounters, jungle hikes, waterfall swims, Temazcal ceremonies, and ice bath therapy sessions—all available for an additional fee.

What is the weather like?

In February, expect warm, sunny days around 80°F (27°C) and pleasant evenings cooled by gentle ocean breezes. It’s a beautiful time to enjoy beach days, swimming in the Pacific, and open-air dining, with clear skies and little to no rain.

What if I am traveling alone?

We love solo-travelers and we have hundreds join us every year on retreat! If you prefer to share your room and are traveling alone, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If we are not able to find you a roommate for the room category you initially booked, we may need to move you to an alternate rooming type. In some cases, a discounted single supplement fee may need to be applied to your invoice. We will communicate this directly to you via email prior to your departure.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect both you and your investment. Unexpected events—such as personal emergencies, health issues, political or environmental factors, or weather disruptions—can arise and affect travel plans.

For the maximum coverage, be sure to purchase your policy within 7–10 days of your initial deposit. Please note that, as we must adhere to our cancellation policy, you will be responsible for any costs if you choose not to have coverage. While we do not advise on specific policies, we recommend exploring options through the reputable travel insurance aggregator, InsureMyTrip. They can help you select a travel insurance provider and policy that best suits your needs.

How many people are expected on this retreat?

Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average.

What is the payment and cancellation policy for this trip?

A $ 1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot on the trip. The final balance payment is due by October 30, 2026. If you cancel before the final balance deadline, we will refund any payments you have made, minus the non-refundable deposit. If you do not complete the payment by that date, the card on file will be automatically charged your remaining balance. If you register for the trip after October 30, 2026, the full amount is due at the time of sign-up.  All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable after October 30, 2026. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy to offset costs incurred before the commencement of the retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions to which you agree upon registration.
