Into Morocco: A Journey of Presence & Discovery

Morocco has a way of waking up your senses immediately. The colors are richer, the energy is stronger, and everything feels a little more alive. It pulls you out of your normal routine in a way that’s hard to explain until you’re in it.

This retreat is about being in that experience fully, without having to manage any of the details. The accommodations are beautiful, everything is thoughtfully planned, and you’re taken care of the entire time. You don’t have to figure anything out or keep a schedule unless you want to. Everything is optional, so you can choose what feels right each day, whether that’s practicing, exploring, or just slowing down. The yoga is there to support you through it. A way to stay grounded and connected to yourself while everything around you is new and expansive. You'll leave with lifetime memories and a deeper connection to yourself that will last a lifetime.

FAQ

Is this more of a yoga retreat or an adventure trip?

This experience leans more toward an immersive travel adventure, with less downtime than a traditional yoga retreat. While we will enjoy at least one yoga practice each day—some days offering two and a bit more leisure—our journey includes vibrant movement across Morocco. We’ll travel from the lively streets of Marrakech, to the stillness of the Agafay Desert, and up into the majestic Atlas Mountains, staying in three distinct accommodations along the way. Cultural excursions, artisan visits, and curated moments of connection fill the itinerary, so come ready to explore, engage, and be inspired by this dynamic landscape. Click here to view the full trip itinerary!

What kind of yoga can I expect on this retreat?

Cara brings a grounded, accessible style of yoga that blends mindful movement, breathwork, and nervous system awareness. Her classes are thoughtfully sequenced to be both supportive and engaging, offering options for all levels while building strength, ease, and connection. Expect a balance of energizing flow and restorative moments, leaving you feeling centered, refreshed, and at home in your body.

When should I place my deposit for this trip?

Given the complexity and extremely limited number of spaces at our handpicked luxury accommodations, we strongly suggest placing your deposits as soon as possible.

What airport do I fly into?

You will book your international ticket into and out of Marrakesh (airport code: RAK).

Do I need a Visa for travel to Morocco?

Many travelers, including citizens of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, do not need to obtain a visa in advance when visiting Morocco for tourism and are typically granted entry for stays of up to 90 days. Visa requirements can vary depending on your citizenship, country of residence, and recent travel history. Some travelers may need to apply for a visa before arrival.

What if I'm traveling alone?

We get hundreds of travelers each year who go on retreats alone. If you are traveling without a friend or partner, but prefer to share your room, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If for some reason, we are not able to match you with a roommate, a single supplement will apply.

If you prefer to have your own private room, a single supplement will apply.

Do I need to bring a yoga mat? Will props be available during yoga classes?

Yes, please bring your own mat in addition to blocks and a strap if you use props during your practice.

Are airport transfers included in the price of my trip?

Yes, private airport transfers are included in the price of your trip. Note if you arrive early and decide to stay at an alternate location other than our group hotel, you will be responsible for coordinating and paying for your own transportation directly with the hotel where you will be staying.

How many people are expected on this trip?

Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15 - 25 attendees is a general average.

What are the accommodations like?

We will be staying at gorgeous luxury hotels chosen for their gorgeous design, location and quality of service. We've used them all for groups in the past to rave reviews. Please contact us at [email protected] for details!

Are all levels of yoga welcome, from beginning to more advanced?

Yes, all levels are welcome. You will find that wherever you are in your practice you will get just what you need out of the yoga classes on this retreat. International Yoga works only with experienced and extremely qualified teachers, which ensures that everyone's yoga needs will be met.

Do I need travel insurance?

At International Yoga, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to protect yourself and your investment. Unexpected events—such as personal emergencies, political or environmental factors, health issues, or weather-related disruptions—can arise and may prevent or interrupt your travel plans. Note that because we must strictly adhere to our cancellation policy, you will be responsible for 100% of any costs associated with the cancellation or interruption of your retreat should you choose not to purchase travel insurance.

While we do not provide recommendations for specific policies, we suggest exploring options through the reputable travel insurance aggregator, InsureMyTrip. They can help you find a provider and policy that best suits your needs. For maximum coverage, we advise purchasing travel insurance within 7–10 days of placing your initial deposit.

What is the cancellation policy for this trip?

A $1000 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your spot on the trip. The final balance payment is due by November 20, 2026. If you cancel before the final balance deadline, we will refund any payments you have made, minus the non-refundable deposit. If you do not complete the payment by November 20, 2026, the card on file will be automatically charged your remaining balance on that date to secure your space on the retreat, unless we have advised otherwise. If you register for the trip after November 20, 2026, the full payment amount is due upon registration. As stated in our Terms & Conditions, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable after November 20, 2026. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
