Starting in 2024, American citizens traveling to Europe will be required to obtain an ETIAS travel authorization prior to their departure. To stay up to date and for further information about the ETIAS program including news, launch updates, and travel alerts, please visit etias.com.

IMPORTANT: If your passport expires within six months of your arrival date to Portugal, please be sure to renew your passport before you go to avoid any issues with immigration. There are no exceptions.

Airport transfers are not included. 

No, gratuities are not included in the price of the program. We recommend $5-$10/day per person as a tip to be given at the end of your stay and shared amongst the staff. Tipping is not obligatory but is greatly appreciated especially when receiving great service. 

International Yoga strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. A personal, political, environmental, health, or weather-related incident may arise that can prevent or interrupt your travels. Note that if you elect to not purchase travel insurance you will be assuming 100% of any costs associated with the cancellation/ interruption of your retreat.

As International Yoga cannot advise on specific travel insurance plans, we recommend the reputable travel insurance aggregator InsureMyTrip. They will provide personalized support in selecting a travel insurance provider and policy that works best for your specific needs. Note that most travel insurance providers require that you purchase coverage within 7 to 10 days of your initial booking.

The holistic center is designed to offer all the comfort and space you need for your practices. The yoga space is made with round wood architecture and heated floor is inspired in by a space in the Brazilian rainforest, surrounded by nature. Between activities one can relax or study in a variety of calm and peaceful spaces that were placed for the purpose of joy and contemplation, all with amazing views to the surroundings. The rooms are cozy with simple decoration, all that is needed to let go and surrender to the space of being taken care of.

There are no required vaccinations for travel to Portugal. However, there are some recommended (suggested) vaccinations given by the CDC. To see the complete list of what is recommended, please visit the CDC Website and consult with your primary care physician to make a decision on what is best for you. 

A non-refundable $500 deposit is required to hold your spot on the trip. If you cancel prior to the final balance deadline, March 1, 2024, we will refund any payments you've made minus the non-refundable deposit. All payments are non-refundable after March 1, 2024. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy to offset costs incurred prior to the commencement of the retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions which you agreed to upon registration. We strongly suggest purchasing 'Cancel For Any Reason' travel insurance to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental, health, or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels.  Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption.

Yes, 3 delicious vegetarian/vegan meals are included daily. Special dietary requests can be accommodated.
