Dani Ibarra
Movement has always been a very large part of Dani’s life. She started off as a dancer, studying ballet, jazz and modern for nearly 18 years. In her mid 20’s she had the amazing opportunity to dance with several National touring companies. Her dance career was unfortunately cut short due to a car accident, which resulted in a low back injury and severe sciatica pain. It was during this time Dani was introduced to yoga and her life began to drastically change from that point on. As she started on her own path of healing she fell in love with the art of yoga and became a devoted student. She began her journey to becoming a teacher in 2003. Dani now works as a yoga therapist in LA specializing in yoga for chronic pain in upper and lower back. Some of her credits include C-IYAT, ERYT-500,... Read More

FAQ

What airport do I fly into?

You will book your international ticket into and out of Denpasar (airport code: DPS).

If you wish to arrive a day early to settle in and get acclimated we can request additional nights at our group hotel. Please contact us directly for rates.

Do I need a Visa to visit Bali?

No, if you are planning to stay in Indonesia for under 30 days, the Visa on arrival is free and also the departure tax is waived.

If you plan to stay longer then 30 days, you will need to obtain a Visa before leaving the US. For more information on this please visit the Embassy of Indonesia website.

IMPORTANT: If your passport expires within six months of your arrival date to Indonesia, please be sure to renew your passport before you go to avoid any issues at immigration. There are no exceptions.

Are airport transfers included in the price of my trip?

Yes, private airport transfers are included in the price of your trip. Whenever you arrive, day or night you will be met by a private driver and transported to the group hotel. Note if you arrive early and decide to stay at an alternate location other than our group hotel, you will be responsible for coordinating and paying for your own transportation directly with the hotel where you will be staying.

Do I need vaccinations?

There are no required vaccinations for travel to Bali. However, there are some recommended (suggested) vaccinations given by the CDC. To see the complete list of what is recommended please visit the CDC Website and consult with your primary care physician to make a decision on what is best for you.

What are the accommodations like?

Cocooned amongst rice paddies and coconut palms, The Shala Bali is a place of peace, wellness and connection to nature. Nestled in the spiritual center of the island, rooms are spacious and breezy and decorated in a Balinese chic style. Each Villa boasts its own varying views of lush rice fields, tropical gardens and jungle vistas. Luxurious bathroom amenities will entice you to refresh and rejuvenate practices. Sink in to this slice of paradise for the week.

Note: The rooms at The Shala are open air style and do not have air-conditioning. All rooms are equipped with fans and windows that can be opened for ventilation.

Are meals included?

Yes, 3 delicious vegetarian meals are included daily. The Shala Bali Cafe offers tasty, healthy vegetarian food, all with vegan options. They offer a range of organic spelt, sourdough and gluten free breads baked in house as well as an eclectic menu of dishes from around the world. Sourcing the best organic produce, the Shala creates changing menus of scrumptious dishes, savory and sweet, alive with color and flavor.

Are gratuities included?

Gratuities are not included in the price of your trip. Service charge is included in all restaurants-bars etc, however if you receive exceptional service by staff, housekeeping or other employees helping you throughout the week then an additional tip is always appreciated. We suggest a budget of around $5-$10/day per guest.

What if I am traveling alone?

We get hundreds of travelers each year who go on retreat alone. If you are traveling without a friend or partner, but prefer to share your room, we will do our best to match you with another traveler of the same gender. If for some reason, we are not able to match you with a roommate, a single supplement will apply.

If you prefer to have your own private room, a single supplement will apply.

How many people are expected on this retreat?

Attendance varies from trip to trip, but 15-25 attendees is a general average.

Do I need travel insurance?

All payments to International Yoga are non-refundable & non-transferable. The purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels.  These events are rare but do occur and underscore the importance of being covered by travel insurance.  Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption. TravelEx  and World Nomads are two reputable organizations. There is a broad spectrum of policies and options so make sure you are clear on what exactly is covered.

What is the cancellation policy for this trip?

All retreats include a $500 non-refundable / non-transferable deposit, which is required to hold your spot on the trip. If you cancel prior to April 1, 2019 we will refund your payment minus the non-refundable deposit. All payments are non-refundable & non-transferable after April 1, 2019. International Yoga must strictly adhere to its cancellation policy to offset costs incurred prior to the commencement of retreat. Click here to view the Terms and Conditions to which you agree upon registration.
