Maya Magennis
Maya Magennis is a yoga educator, meditation teacher, and wellness leader living in Los Angeles, CA. She is best known for her clarity, attention to detail, and compassionate approach. Her formal movement training began with ballet, which she studied for over 15 years, and since then Maya has spent much of her time exploring the connection between my body and mind. She became intrigued with yoga as an undergraduate student at Duke University, and yoga and meditation became Maya's support system as she entered the fast-paced, high-stress world of investment banking in the early years of her career. Yes. As all payments to International Yoga are non-refundable, the purchase of travel insurance is strongly recommended to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental, health, or weather-related incident or pre-existing medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels.  Should you elect to not purchase travel insurance, note that you will be assuming 100% of any costs incurred for trip cancellation or trip interruption.

There are a broad variety of policies and providers for you to choose from. Be sure to understand the fine print of the policy you select to ensure you know exactly what is and is not covered especially if you are concerned you may need to cancel for COVID-19 / pandemic-related reasons which most carriers would cover only under a "Cancel for Any Reason" tier of coverage. IMPORTANT: to guarantee maximum coverage, most travel insurance providers require that you obtain a policy within 5-10 days of placing your initial deposit. Although International Yoga cannot advise on specific policies or providers, you may find this guide helpful.

What are the Covid-19 related protocols during the trip?

We will be following all of the necessary CDC-recommended CV-19 protocols for Mexico. To read more about Playa Viva's extensive CV-19 safety protocols please read HERE.
