Yoga & Culture in Bali

Yoga & Culture in Bali

Join Mary Bruce in the sublime beauty of Ubud, Bali for a weeklong immersion into the Six Gems of Para Yoga. Through a full spectrum of techniques that include asana, pranayama, bandha, mudra, mantra, kriya, meditation and more we will explore these relevant teachings that open the door to supreme accomplishment in both practice and life. Sva Dharma is self destiny: become who you were born to be. Tantra is self mastery: weaving Yoga into your life. Vidya is knowledge drawn from ancient wisdom. Agni is fire: embodying the capacity to overcome limitation. Sri is resplendence: experiencing the world as beautiful and remembering that life is a gift. Parampara is honoring your brightest light and sharing it with others. Woven together these gems reveal the entire extent and sacred power of Yoga.

Set back into the verdant rice fields our retreat center for the week will provide the perfect environment for this deep and nourishing work. You will enjoy beautifully decorated rooms, delicious vegetarian meals and excursions to some of Bali’s most colorful markets and sacred local temples. The Bali Institute, Ubud’s premiere cultural organization, will guide us on our outings to observe ancient spiritual practices and meet community leaders and dignitaries to develop a better understanding of this unique culture.
