I discovered yoga as a teenager through my rebellious phase. It revealed a path to a new way of living, thinking and being than I ever thought was possible. It was revolutionary to my 15yr old mind.
The physical Yoga practice can reveal to us things that have been buried or hidden from our view. To take the extra step to write them down helps them come alive in order to process them.
Outside in Nature (preferably on flat ground).
Getting barefoot out in nature as soon as possible.
Because Nature is the co-teacher. The environment that surrounds us is a living breathing being with its own energy inviting us to collaborate. We will learn from her as much as she will learn from us.
Soul - is the deep dive into our individual path. Spirit - is the rising above to see how our Soul fits into the collective. Environment - when we take what we learn from Soul and Spirit and put them into action, creating the change we want to see.
Traveling takes you out of your habitual routines and makes it easier to have a fresh perspective on life.
That they matter, and they have a unique gift to give the world. Also to equip them with a better understanding of their True Nature and practices they can take with them to continue on their path.
My favorite definition of this word is “to be formed again”. A big theme of what I teach is letting go of what was ‘not ours to carry’ so we can get to a place where we are raw material and are available to be transformed.
