Southern India Yoga and Ayurveda with Peggy Orr
January 18 - 25, 2014
Join Peggy for a trip of a lifetime in one of southern India’s top-rated Ayurvedic resorts—voted “Kerala’s Best” by the Indian Government the last 8 years in a row—which sits on the tip of the Indian sub-continent in the heart of seaside Kerala. Quaint, comfortable and clean individual cottages are scattered across the lush manicured hillside, many with views overlooking the expansive white sand beach and the Indian Ocean below. The wonderful hotel staff will prepare fresh and healthy meals based on the individual constitution, or “dosha,” of each participant. Discussions on Ayurveda—the ancient but still mainstream medical practice of the Indian culture—will be held for those interested, and Ayurvedic herbs will be available after consultations with expert in-house practitioners. All part of the package! Twice-daily yoga classes and deep Ayurvedic treatments will have you returning home bright-eyed, recharged and profoundly rejuvenated. The combination of yoga, Ayurveda, good company and space will contribute to the healthiest and most relaxing vacation you can imagine!
Traditional Kerala-style bungalows scattered across the verdant and well-tended tropical gardens will be our home for the week. In between yoga and spa treatments, relax by the pool overlooking the lush landscape or down on the Indian Ocean itself, where you can swim or observe the fishermen in their daily ritual, which has remained unchanged for millennia. Optional excursions to markets, temples or local backwater tours can be easily arranged. Rest in a hammock and allow the whole experience to soak in before your return journey home or your optional adventure to the north.

What People Are Saying
“… Working with International Yoga was truly incredible. Michelle and Marnee handled all the logistics; collecting payments, travel arrangements, marketing, organizing side trips, and coordinating with the hotel. This allowed Billy [Gill] and I to simply do our jobs as teachers, holding the space for our incredible group. Furama was stunning. The people in Ubud were so kind, and living their yoga so beautifully. If you’ve ever dreamed about doing a retreat abroad, connecting with International Yoga, is a fantastic way to help make that dream a reality!” –Ashley Rideaux
