Join us on an expertly crafted tour through India's most treasured sights of the north. We begin in bustling Delhi, where old meets new, and hop on a rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of its ancient bazaars, visit India's largest mosque and sample some of the subcontinents most sumptuous cuisine and best shopping. From here we take an early morning train to Agra, site of the majestic Taj Mahal and India’s crown jewel. After a full day of taking in the sites, the adventure continues with an overnight train journey – an experience you will never forget! – to Varanasi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and for many the highlight of any journey to India. Hinduism's principle pilgrimage city, dying here is said to bring 'mokhsa,' liberation from the cycle of birth and death, and people travel thousands of miles to bathe in its sacred waters. Witnessing all of life's rituals on full display along the banks of the wholy Ganges River is a sight that will stay with you forever. The trip concludes with our return flight to Delhi.
For maximum comfort, we will be using internal flights to travel between Goa and Delhi and Varanasi to Delhi, our train journeys we will be in air-conditioned cars, and we'll have private vehicles for all of our ground transport. Additionally, an experienced guide will accompany us throughout the entire journey as well as local guides in each location. Restaurants have been selected for their excellence and hygiene. All of this will be organized on your behalf by International Yoga to ensure smoothly running, once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
